A Little Bit About Me...

To make my teaching more effective, I usually psyche my student to see how the mood to learn is. Should the mood be down at first, I would just come up with something fun, educative, something that can help to boost someone's IQ score. I have also used the NCLB Method, No Child Left Behind Method. In it, we use examples for every question, and evaluate the students every week to enhance greater learning.
I have always been a tutor of almost every class I took in high school, college, and even graduate school. I was always acting as a teacher figure to my friends, and my peers. I usually tutor Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. After I earned my BS in Chemistry, I totored K-12, and taught ESL to foreign students at South Florida Community College. Dedicated to helping children accomplish personal goals!

I have been working with special needs students with various disabilities for 10 years. I have worked with students ranging from ADHD/ADD to those who are bed ridded and need toileting assistance. I have also had to accommodate with feeding and those who are transitioning out of high school. I can teach students how to read and write and how to ride the city but to where they need to go and make it back home. I have also taught cooking and hygiene skills.

The method of teaching I prefer is maieutic, i.e., one which draws knowledge from the student, rather than attempts to place it in him/her from without.
