I am a firm believer in teaching through examples. I present the topic then provide an example and then lead the student through an example then have the student do an example by themselves. I am very patient.
I double majored at Nazareth College in Business Administration and Mathematics. While in school I tutored at a Rochester city elementary school focusing on literacy. One of the advantages of my background is the variety of people I have worked with. Regardless of different cultures, races, socioeconomic backgrounds and ages, I have the unique ability to connect with people in a language they understand. I utilize this ability to teach by analogy, as many of the things I teach and tutor others on involve complex subjects that the student usually has no direct experience in.
