I have more than 20 years of teaching experience students in grades 7-12. I currently teach 10th grade English and work part-time with Han Academy. I have more than ten years experience teaching Advanced Placement Language and Composition, Advanced Placement Literature and Composition, ACT/SAT Prep, history, journalism, public speaking, and dramatic events. I thrive on teaching and student success.
I utilize elements of each of the five teaching styles; however, I prefer the I Do, We Do, You Do style of learning. I firmly believe in providing clear instruction and demonstration of each concept. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a champion for youth. While obtaining my education, my passion for children inspired me to tutor and mentor youth and young adults in programs like Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound, and Student Support Services. Furthermore, my interest in youth and education led me to begin teaching on the high school and collegiate levels. For several years, I have tutored and/or taught students in English, writing, public speaking and presentation skills, psychology, and ACT/SAT preparation.
