A Little Bit About Me...

I earned a BS degree in mathematics with certification to teach high school, and then went on to complete a MS and PhD in mathematics. I have been teaching math at the college level full-time for almost 3 years and part-time while I was in graduate school for about 4 years. I have taught many levels of math, from elementary algebra to geometry to calculus classes, and enjoy helping students gain a better understanding of all levels of mathematics.
To be a lifeguard, one must first learn to swim, then learn different techniques, then continue to refine those techniques to build up stamina and speed. The same is true of mathematics. First one learns number sense, then algebra skills, then a deeper understanding through practice, as well as new and more challenging problems.
