A Little Bit About Me...

I was a student teacher at Miller Place's Middle School and Three Village's Murphy Junior High. I taught both 7th grade honors classes, 8th grade, and 9th grade honors classes. Also, at Three Village I co-taught with the reading department for students who are struggling in English. I've worked with some of my students after school in a one on one tutoring sessions. I really enjoyed working with middle school students and helping them transition and supply them with the skills they will need in high school.
I graduated from St. Joseph's College in May 2012 after four years at the college. I received a bachelors degree of cum laude in English Secondary Education and a minor in Speech communications. I usually allow the person to come to me with questions and ask me what they are struggling on and help them from their or review the basic concepts and say them out loud to the person I am tutoring. I help students go through their books and synthesize material and help students write papers and come up with proper conclusions and introductions to his or her paper.
I tutored in my last semester of college at Westfield State University. I have taken 122 credits in psychology. My psychology G.P.A. average is 3.74 and my overall average is 3.551.
