My work experience is a unique combination of teaching and entrepreneurship. Following college graduation I worked as a general manager for a highly successful restaurant, where I managed a staff of over 70 employees. I excelled at training young staff to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the workplace. Inspired by my training and development responsibilities as a manager, I chose to return to school to earn my Masters of Science Degree in the field of Business Education (from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater). I have experience with assistance in teaching yoga, childcare, and with those who have mental disabilities. I am a student at University of Wisconsin Fox Valley, receiving my Associate Degree of Arts & Science at the end of May 2011. I have been struggling to pay for school to further my education because it's been all on my own. I work two part-time as a florist and own my own cleaning business. I am working towards my goal of counseling and therapy in yoga for those who struggle with the balance of life.

A Little Bit About Me...

I go through all the concepts with the individual pertaining to what portion of statistics they are studying at that time. I will then walk them through a couple of examples demonstrating how to properly obtain the correct answer. I will follow that up by asking them to do a problem without any direct instruction from me. I will watch them work on the problem to assure they are working on it properly. If any mistakes are made I will politely point them out as the individual is working. Finally, I will ask them to work on problems completely on their own and I will check their answers when they are done. I feel the only way to learn statistics, or any math for that matter, is through repetition and working on a lot of problems.
