I am a 60-year old man who has taught every subject at every grade level as an artist in the schools for over 35 years. I currently substitute in all the grades in Hart County so I have had to demonstrate knowledge of every subject at every grade level. I have been in the classrooms of public schools every day for about 60% of my adult life. I hold a Bachelor's Degree from Oberlin College with a major in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Math. I have tutored a lot over the years, and whereas I am comfortable handling any subject, my particular strong point is Math. A Little Bit About Me...

My easy going nature and fun personality allows me to make learning interesting. I have always believed that the best way for someone to learn is to put the information into terms that are understandable to them. In the past I have used illustrations, acted out scenes from battles, utilized initialisms, and made up songs to help students learn concepts. Connections between the content and familiar concepts are essential, and thus I find it very important to get to know the student and how they learn in order to best help them. My goal is to make sure that all my students are able to reach their educational goals, and ultimately by the end of our sessions my students will be able to teach the information to someone else.
