Being in college for four years exposed me to social environments that I normally wouldn't have been able to encounter on a day to day basis. Whether I was learning on my own, working with or helping fellow classmates, or even just observing how the professors worked with us, I was always learing new concepts or methods of how to interact with a wide variety of characteristics in a diverse group of people. And due to the difficulty of my major, I feel that by being able to communicate well with others in this area I could handle various other scenarios as well. I have studied math to the Numerical Linear Algebra level, senior undergraduate/graduate college course. I have worked in engineering using the calculus and algebra in daily definitions of processes. I have worked as an Algebra tutor during 1998 to 1999 for Helping Hands Tutoring, in Dickson, Tennessee. During college, I worked as a tutor to other students in my class. Many times I was helping by phone during the night. I have studied Mandarin for 4 years (beginner), and German (basics).
I enjoy teaching and finding ways for others to latch on to the ideas. I teach 4-H Shooting Sports each spring and summer. I am certified to instruct Archery and Pistol.
