I have a student-centered teaching style. That means I see at what level the student is and meet him/her at that level. Then we together move up to where he/she needs to be.

My undergradute years at Kutztown University have truly prepared me to be an educator. I earned a BS in education with a specialization in English. This degree has given me a great "bag of educational tricks." In other words, I am well versed in different teaching strategies for all learning styles. After several years of coaching and working with children I have learned that my true life calling is to teach children and young adults. I am currently back in the Reading area after completing two years with Teach For America on Chicago's Southside. While there, I taught 9th Grade English/Test Prep and 6th Grade writing, which I loved! Two years ago, I graduated from Barnard College, which is the undergraduate women's college of Columbia University in New York. During my time in New York, I tutored many young children in English/writing and French conversation and grammar.Because of my content area, my tutoring strengths are English, writing, test-prep and grammar work.
