German is one of my top subjects! I have received a B.A. in German Language from Mercer University in Macon, GA. I have spent time abroad in the host country during the summer.

I am a "kid-at-heart" who has a passion for helping other learn and succeed. I enjoy foreign languages and I want to share my enthusiasm with others. By traveling often, I remain enthusiastic about the subjects I study. Over the past 4 years especially, I have spent many weeks in Germany and France and have fallen in love with the people and their culture. I enjoy finding short stories and comics that help others better understand and learn the language. I also have many supplies from abroad, such as books and DVDs. While completing my undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at University of Idaho, I was often called upon to tutor people within the building where I lived during college. I also was employed by the University to grade papers and offer assistance to underclassmen in the Chemical Engineering department. From this experience, I have gained both the knowledge in math and science and the understanding of how to use different approaches with different people to deliver the lesson. I have taught English to students at levels from seventh graders through college freshmen. My M.A. in English Literature equipped me to inspire both eager and reluctant students to write and read with confidence and capability. As a reporter, a proofreader, and an editor, I used language in the real world, and that application helps me inspire and motivate students.
