I believe in tailoring each lesson to each student's individual abilities and learning methods. For students in school bands, I try to provide lessons that augment and complement what they learn in band class, focusing on areas of performance that may not receive attention in a group setting. For all my students, regardless of level or instrument, I help them learn music that they want to learn, while making sure they get the fundamental training that they need. I encourage and assist my students in finding opportunities to perform in solo performances and with other groups. I also pride myself in creating an environment where the students are comfortable asking questions to help improve their playing.

I attended West Coast Baptist College from 2008 to 2012 to become a math instructor. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Math Education upon graduation in 2012. My first teaching position was in Greenville, NC at Greenville Christian Academy. I taught Jr High (7th-9th grades) math for 4 years. My family has recently moved to Murfreesboro, TN to teach at Franklin Road Christian School. I just completed my first year teaching at this school. For four years I taught in private schools, where I gave instruction at the middle and high school levels in English, French, Hebrew, computer programming, and office applications (spreadsheets, etc). I taught Math and English for one year at a Huntingdon Learning Center (elementary through high school students). Prior to this I taught French and Linguistics courses at the State University of NY at Albany where I earned a degree in each of those fields. Later I became a database administrator. Today I develop web applications in the C# programming language and the Transact SQL query language. I have also given private music lessons over the years to a total of 20 to 30 students.
