My comments on tutoring Resume Writing : I have been a business owner for three years and over five years in marketing, management, and customer service. I also recruited numerous individuals for a major telecommunications company for over a year. I know what an employer is looking for on a resume and what they do not want to see. For five years, I have hired individuals and conducted telephone interviews with people seeking employment. I can assist you with making sure your resume is up to par. I am a very friendly and patient individual. Since I specialize in tutoring elementary children to adults,I understand I am going to have different methods of teaching. For all my students, I try to find out what their weakness and strengths are. I attempt to have them notice it as well; that way we can work together as a team. For children, I always have some type of reward or goal for them to strive for. For example, I would remind the student that after they finish their assignments they would receive a sticker, lollipop (under parent permission), or medal.I have found children love recognition. As a non-traditional student, I was able to gain a unique educational experience. I started off earning multiple degrees at a community college, then transferred to Temple to study Actuarial Science. The training I received while preparing for actuarial exams taught me how to think about and solve problems so thoroughly that I was able to teach any subject I learned. I have tutored many subjects ranging from elementary mathematics to graduate-level statistics.
