I graduated from St. Joseph's College in May 2012 after four years at the college. I received a bachelors degree of cum laude in English Secondary Education and a minor in Speech communications. I am in the process of receiving my New York State Certification in secondary education in grades 7-12 with an extension for grades 5 and 6. I only have one more test to pass in order to receive my New York State certification.

It wasn't until I completed my B.S. degree and had a child of my own to fully understand the importance of an education. My son was diagnosed with Autism, this diagnosis woke in me a new desire to learn. I went on to complete my Masters Degree while working on my son's social, language and educational development. I became an adovcate for children and have an understanding for children with LD. I used all learning styles. I taught and they wrote. We had group assignments and presentations. All students increased their English scores. They all succeeded in their learning. I loved teaching and made sure that they all had a wonderful learning experience. I worked hard to make sure everyone learned their curriculum.
