Microsoft Access is one of my top subjects! I taught Microsoft Access on many contract assignment for companies such as Kodak and AT&T, for example. This, in many cases, showed employees how to link tables in Access to such databases as Oracle or SQL server in order to quickly generate reports so the individual could export to MS Excel. Additional training was also done on how to set up tables within Access and how to create reports in Access to greatly assist managers for example to automate many of their daily tasks. I was a programmer in MS Excel for over 20 years using the Excel as the Front End application and programmed in the bundled VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) included in MS Excel. Programming in MS Excel required Advanced User capabilities in order to data mine returned data to Excel, Creating Charts and pivot tables for example. My approach to teaching students mathematics is to first ensure they understand the basics. In my experience, students typically have trouble learning new material because they have not mastered the previous material, which is typically a prerequisite to understanding the new material. I believe with enough time spent on the basics, any student can learn more advanced mathematical concepts. Once I feel their understanding of the previous material is strong, I walk them through example problems and then have them solve increasingly difficult problems on their own. My teaching style is to have a set of problems made up for the students to observe as examples to help understand certain chapters. I will assign additional problems if needed and focus on the subject matter that is the hardest for the individual to understand.
I have taken statistics and gotten an A in the course and still have all course materials to give a general overview of statistics and how to use SPSS.
