A Little Bit About Me...

I worked as the department tutor for a first semester calculus based physics course at my university. I also graded undergraduate physics homework for second semester calculus based physics. Throughout my undergraduate education, I worked as a research during the summer and post graduation, I spent continued school for a year as a graduate student. Then I took a year off to see the world as a consultant. Now I'm planning on going back to school full time in the fall for electrical engineering and am currently getting taking a few courses part time to prepare me for the return.
I try to present a concept or fact in several different ways so that I can resonate with the students thinking style. A Little Bit About Me...

During my time at the University of Missouri-Columbia, I earned two degrees: a BA in Philosophy and a BA in Theater. I also took many writing classes, focusing on different types of creative writing, from fiction to poetry to playwrighting. When I graduated in 2002, I spent several years in Barcelona, Spain working with college students. During that time, I tutored students in both English and Spanish, and several times taught introductory Spanish courses to students involved in summer exchange programs.

I am an excellent student and have a full knowledge of accounting and math that can be applied in the classroom as well as a "real world" experience. In addition to supervising and training other employees within my employers accounting department, I have also had the privilege of being in charge of staffing an intern who complimented me frequently on my competence and ability to instruct in a professional manner that was easily understood and easy to follow. I was not able to obtain a teaching job when I graduated from college so went to work in the field of business. My jobs included: private secretary to a County Judge, bookkeeper, loan processor for a savings and loan, receptionist, cashier, manager, assistant librarian and owner of an electric motor repair business.
