A Little Bit About Me...

I have had seven years of experience in working with children of all ages. While attending the University of North Dakota, I was employed at a child care center where I taught children from nine months to five years of age. I completed my student teaching in Sioux Falls and substitute taught in the district from December 2007-May 2008. During my substitute teaching experience, I was given an opportunity to obtain a long-term position in a resource room. This experience really allowed me to see to the diverse group of learners there are in the Sioux Falls School District. I try to present a concept or fact in several different ways so that I can resonate with the students thinking style. I have been told that I am a very good communicator and educator and can make concepts that seem complicated look much simpler and more comprehendible. If you've ever looked at the Khan Academy website, were Sal Khan makes little You Tube videos on all sorts of math and science topics, you will see a very similar method to how I educate .
