Have tutored students for three semesters at my college in general chemistry. This included three sessions a week that were pre-planned out. Subject material was reviewed from class as well as having test practices. Since I have tutored for several years, I've found that every person learns slightly differently. The key to how I teach is to figure out how that person best learns. There is no such thing as a stupid person, just one who hasn't been taught in a way that they can understand yet. I believe that you cannot do everything for the student. You have to find their learning style and then develop upon that to be able to open the door to learning of the subjects. There is no such thing as a good teacher with out a learning student. I have graduated from Wichita State with a BA of General Studies with a minor in chemistry, biology, physics, and sociology.
