My comments on tutoring College Algebra : Took in high school.

I believe in success. There is no guarantee someone will learn on the first try. It's all about enjoying the learning experience and positive reinforcement. I also believe in humor and think that it can help a lot in peoples difficult situations.
I have helped tutor AVID high school students when I was a senior at Cherry Creek High School. I enjoy helping the kids learn and believe that being a tutor would pay it forward since I had so much help from tutors. I always helped my friends out because I was in higher level classes than them some of the times. I also worked with tutors and know how much of a difference they can make. I'm currently studying at CSU and still work with friends on homework if they need help.

It wasn't long before math was my favorite class and I changed my major. When I was in school I helped a lot of my classmates with calculus. Remote Tutoring in Physics, Math, & More

My approach to both physics and math is very concept oriented. I try to combat the 'shut up and calculate' approach that students often encounter in their schooling. Rather than expecting my students to quickly memorize and regurgitate information they barely understand, I expect students to actively engage with the material and to develop their own unique approach to problem solving. During the last three years of my undergraduate college career, I was a Mathematics tutor for student athletes. Although the courses covered while tutoring ranged from basic math to calculus, I am more comfotable tutoring algebra and geometry.
