My comments on tutoring Advertising : I have experience in planning and orchestrating successful advertising and public relation strategies and campaigns. Inclusive of all aspects of business relationships blended with experience in writing for cross media.

I have over 20 years of business and entrepreneurial experience. I consult to start up companies and mentor people who want to go into business. I also have 20 years of writing for print, tv, public relations and more. My degrees are in marketing, management, ama and business from Ivy Leagues Universites as well as local college in the Nashville area. I really enjoy teaching and have experience teaching in junior college. I am a person with varying interests and curiosity in life!!
I usually take the Socratic method of teaching. I always feel that people enjoy this style and seem to retain more information and answers to their questions.

I believe that each child has its own learning style, therefore as a tutor you must be able to adapt quickly to the specific needs to every child. I think that the most important thing in tutoring is gaining the attention and confidence that you know what you are doing and talking about. I also live by the belief that repetition is the father of learning.
While in college, I have worked with numerous tutoring programs both paid and volunteering. I worked for two years as a tutor mentor for the Upward Bound Program, where I managed a group of 12 college students that tutored and mentored 75 low-income and first generation students in grades 9-12. Also while in college, I have have had the opportunity to work closely with numerous Metro Public Schools around the Nashville area. Currently I am working with the Martha O'Bryan Center at a Reading Achievement Program Tutor.

As a student, I was promoted from hostess to assistant controller of a restaurant within the period of one year and prior to graduation from the community college. I have over 20 years experience working in accounting and the last 12 of those years as the supervisor of the accounting department in roles titled accounting manager and controller. A Little Bit About Me...

From an early age, growing up in a loving & driven environment, it became overwhelmingly apparent to me that, just as food & exercise nourish the physical body, education nourishes the mind, spirit, & soul.
