Worked with "At Risk" 8th graders to help get them on a positive path to High School. Instructed forums for the students that provided with the necessary information to have a successful education. I Created Agendas for upstate youth detention facilities to motivate them to return back to school upon release. Working with various groups of youth have inspired me to help anyone who wants to learn.
Have a very creative style when it comes to learning. Make lessons fun so it can set a positive environment for children and allow them to be more comfortable and enthusiastic.

Working towards my B.S. in environmental studies I had the opportunity to work as a high school tutor in mathematics and science. I worked with children in a traditional manner, tutoring them after school by working through homework problems and past test/quiz questions. After graduation I began educating children at a nature center in a less traditional way. I worked as an instructional aide for three years in both special education and general education classrooms. A Little Bit About Me...

I find that teaching is as much about getting to know each person, finding there strengths and weaknesses and using those to benefit them in their process of understanding. I like to come up with creative approaches that will suit each individual's strengths for learning.
