I have spent fourteen years teaching first through eighth grades. I enjoy using real life situations to model subject matter to be learned. I stress the reinforcement of skills learned, and enjoy outings where the children can be exposed to the arts and sciences in a natural setting. I love teaching to the different intelligences. This provides a more enriching experience or the learner.

Creative Arts is one of my top subjects! Basic culinary/cooking/baking

I am currently a college student majoring in early childhood education. Previously, I attended culinary school. I graduated my high school in the top 5% of my class with a 4.0 GPA. I love to help others, and I have been tutoring and helping my three younger sisters throughout school for several years. I believe in hands-on type learning, as well as visual and activity-based studying. Making learning fun is definitely my preferred style of tutoring. I also can help proofread papers/ check homework/ etc.

A product of the North Carolina educational system, I was the recipient of Certificates of Art in 1981 & 1982, and the 1983 winner of the prestigious Art Pen Award. Having received my Associate in Applied Science Degree in Commercial Graphics from Randolph Community College in Asheboro, N.C., I moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1989.
