I enjoy working with children and understand that everyone has a unique learning style. An effective teacher works with this while exercising patience, care and consideration for students as they guide them to subject mastery. My preferred method of teaching is show and do. I show the technique or concept, and then give the student a chance to practice and demonstrate that they understand. The student learns best when they can find or develop the answer themselves. Over the past five years I have spent much time pursuing my college degree in Biology. Before my time in the Biology field I spent two years as an education major. In that field I learned how to be a professional educator, work with children with disabilities, and how to give direction to someone in need of help. My time in college has allowed me to experience various fields of Biology and I have been granted several opportunities.
