The most important thing about my teaching style is that I believe every child can achieve academic excellence and can be interested in learning. I believe that it is up to me, as a teacher or a tutor, to engage the student(s). A huge part of this is being very transparent about where the student starts, what our goals are for where they are going, and how they are doing along the way. My teaching style is one that I obtained from two of my favorite college teachers whom I wished all others would duplicate themselves after. When I teach, I introduce myself and let others introduce themselves. I project an image of someone who is willing and able to assist and teach...someone who really does care (of which I have been told many times by former students). I let students know that if they have a question about anything, to please ask me. I am a detailed person and so I like to give detailed steps in achieving a desired outcome. I am positive minded and encourage my students on a positive level because how a person thinks is the direction they will be moving towards.

A Little Bit About Me...

My life has been filled with teaching and working with children. At the age of ninteen as a very young mother I felt a sense of duty in teaching my children how to achive higher than they can ever have imagined. I love to see the look of awe on their faces when they realize that they to can understand which ever subject that slips them. The rest is simple practice, practice, practice seals the deal. Then stride to the next hurdle. Each child has a different way of learning things. I find many times that a child can have to much or to little of something in their lives which interrupts their natural thought pattern.
