FIrst I figure out what the problem is student's approach to answering a question or studying a concept. I look to see what they know and if I notice something missing in their understanding I'll fill in that "gap" by showing them a more easier or revealing process to answering a question. Before introducing the approach I know that works and I've used because I'm not a genius by nature, but by experience I'll talk to the student about important ideas that they need to know.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am attending school for early childhood degree. Working with children and others have always been apart of me. Throughout school I am always helping and tutoring someone. Teaching someone something that I already know and something they should know or what to know makes me happy. I substitute before and volunteer my time a lot with daycare, Boys and Girls Club, after school programs, and even at church. I try to make things as fun as possible, and I try to help the student understand by putting the subject in a way that suits their interests. I like to joke around with the students, because it puts them at ease, and it develops a relationship with them that is hard to come by. Without that relationship, the teaching is harder, and the learning is harder. I still get the curriculum across, but in a way that the student understands.
