A year or so later I began working for a private tutoring company, teaching middle school and high school students math, writing skills, time management skills, social studies, and science. Since I graduated from the University of Michigan, I have spent a lot of time helping young adults learn and "learn how to learn". I majored in Japanese language and literature and later earned a masters in TESOL from the College of New Rochelle. I taught three levels of Japanese language and advanced ESOL at Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics High School in Harlem. After school, I served as an advisor to two clubs: The Anime and Origami Clubs. I served as an advisor and helped the students raise funds for ongoing projects.
