I graduated from Mansfield University with a BS degree in Elementary Education with honors. I taught a temporary position in third grade (all subject areas), then was asked by the school superintendent to substitute teach in Junior and Senior High School, and Special Education classes, which I did for four more years before I had to move out-of-state for my ex-husband's job. I just spent the last 15 years working for the NYS Dept. of Corrections in many areas. I gained much experience in all aspects of office work, including computers, writing, people skills, reports, counseling, math,etc. I am currently retiring, and would like a part-time position for added income while I attend college part-time. A Little Bit About Me...

As I graduated from Corning Community College in Early Childhood Education, I instantly started work as a teacher's aide in the school district of Watkins Glen as well as Odessa. I worked with the children for a year, then i married and moved to Watertown N.Y and became so involved that i began working with special needs children. I did that for sometime till i had surgery. I recently moved back to the area and would love to work with children again. My degree in Associate Of Science. I hope to have the opportunity to keep going in this field as children mean the world to me.

A Little Bit About Me...

As I teach, I love to find a child's strength and then expound upon that strength to aid their weaknesses. There are always new things to learn and I love being able to open up that learning world for a child. I generally use a hands on approach to learning and use visual aids to help children grasp hard to understand concepts. All children have the ability to reach their potential when given the chance and I love getting to know the students I work with and understanding how they best learn.
