A Little Bit About Me...

I am patient but firm. In order to be a success in the business world, one must be able to write and speak the English language correctly. If the student knows English, everything else in general business can be taught. Thus, in a tutoring environment, I try to make learning fun and make a game out of speaking and writing proper English. I believe that every child can learn even those that are handicapped. My mother was a specialist in teaching trainable children and got them jobs after graduation. Being around children with IQ's around 60 gave me special insight and understanding.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated high school in 2003 as the valedictorian of my class. I maintained my high level of academics in college but didn't know what I wanted to do for a career. I graduated in 2007 with my business degree and moved to NC. I worked for a mental health agency helping children in broken homes with school work and being a positive male role model as well as taking pre reqs to return to school for my masters degree in physical therapy. I am currently in my 2nd year of PT school and have always helped others learn throughout my life.

I have a great love of math and business courses. Algebra is my favorite of all the maths. I earned a degree in math education and taught school for 4 years. I homeschooled 3 of my children up until 3 years ago and tutored high school students in Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry, Business Math, and College Algebra. I currently tutor several elementary students as well as my own children in their math courses. All of my children are Honor Roll students and excel at math.
I love working with young people and giving them an understanding of math even those who do not like math at all. I am patient and easy going, do not lose my temper when a young person does not understand it the first time or the 100th time. I will find a new way to explain it to them if necessary.
