A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style revolves around how the child learns. I adapt my lesson's around how the child will be able to best learn the material. I want to see them grow and develop as much as they can.
I am now a teacher at a private school in Monona. I help aid a Preschool classroom and have my own classroom in the afternoon for students age four. I also run an after school program once the school day is done with and that incorporates 4 year-olds to seventh graders. I help students out with homework during that time. Before I started my teaching job, I was substituting in Madison and Verona Area School Districts. I was homeschooled for the majority of my education which enabled me to assit my younger brothers and sisters in their studies. I taught a few Science classes including botony and a study of birds and have tutored in highschool math as well. I played volleyball, took 3 years of piano, and was a member of Chior as well. I worked as a teachers aide in a preschool for 2 years. I worked with children from the age of 6 weeks to 5 years. I plan on going to college for either business or diognostic sonography.
I love working with kids of all ages. All children are unique and they all learn in different ways. I enjoy helping students work through tough problems by allowing them to make mistakes and then rework the problem a couple of times the correct way. Since this is my area of expertise, I am able to come up with examples on the fly that will target the areas most troublesome to the student.
