Painting is one of my top subjects!

My teaching style is student-centered.
I have over 10 years of teaching experience, from K-12. My strengths are in English Language Arts, the Fine Arts, and Social Studies. Most of my experience is in working with challenged learners and I am very effective in that area. I enjoy all students and can service a wide range subject matter needs. I graduated with honors from Calvin College and consider myself a well-rounded educator.

A Little Bit About Me...

I try to make the subjects fun for them. For example i bring out cubes, candy, or fruits for math problems so they can visually see the mathamatical problem. If its science I try to make 3D projects so they can better understand, for example the solar system. I try to get there intrest so they can have fun and not be bored and feel like its a waist of time. I know everyone learns in different ways and I understand that because im the same way. Im very patient, and very easy going. My goal is to give them the education they need to succeed in life.
What more better experience then to start at home by helping my little brother and sister. For the past five years I have tutored my brother and sister in many different subjects. I have done math, reading, science, history. Basically all elementary subjects.I am Bilingual and speak both English, and Spanish fluently.
