I graduated with my Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts degrees and earned my General Special Education K-12 and Elementary Education teacher certifications through Southern New Hampshire University. I graduated with honors and made the Dean’s or President’s List every term. I have had over 5 years tutoring students in Kindergarten to College students in all content areas. I have over 9 years working with children ages infant-adult. I have worked in many public and private schools where I worked with a variety of disabilities in the inclusive and self-contained settings. My passion is teaching and learning. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is based on the belief that children perform well academically when given an opportunity to learn in their own unique way. In particular, I have worked with students with receptive-language difficulties, ADHD, and oppositional behavior. In my teaching, I have tried to implement techniques that involve repetition, visual cues, and creativity to enhance students' academic performance. I believe each student has the potential to advance when given the appropriate tools. For example, I try to use lively stories and cue cards to enhance phonemic awareness of the long and short vowel sounds and consonant sounds as well as basic sight words. I now work as a Special Education Teacher in New Hampshire. I teach English for freshman students at the high school level.
