Calculus I is one of my top subjects!

For more than 20 years I have been making math come alive for my students. I have taught both at the high school level and the college level and worked one-on-one with my students in and out of the classroom. My curriculum experiences ranges through Algebra 1 to Calculus 2 and Statistics. In High School, I have been an AP Calculus and AP Statistics teacher for 15 years.
I use a variety of teaching methods when working with students. Every students brings their own set of skills and knowledge. It is my job to take them and make them better. My comments on tutoring Calculus I : I hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics and an M.S. in Statistics and have experience teaching undergraduates and graduates.

My diverse skills and experience in mathematics, statistics, and computer programming should be advantageous in this circumstance. I have been a physics and mathematics tutor for my fellow students at the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Ontario. Also, I served as a physics T.A. at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before I transferred to Waterloo. Finally, I was a substitute teacher for two years at Belmont Middle School and Belmont High School, in Belmont, New Hampshire.
My teaching style is simple but effective. With mathematics and physics, the student retains an idea, with the added benefit of a solid intuition if he or she is fortunate enough to work through a problem using his or her's own insights.
