During my travels through school i have had my fair share of peer study groups to help with the learning of the material to pass classes. I have also helped allot of my peers with understanding as well. I have tutored through Lassen Community College helping students who were struggling with the concepts of math at lower and higher level classes. One of my professors called me an asset to any tutoring group or peer study group in a recommendation letter to Merced College for tutoring. I think you have to teach a steady pace and make sure that the little things are understood first. Students also like their learning to be interesting, so student involvement is a must in my mind. An instructor should have student involvement in the lessons and not speak the whole time.
I have a BS in business administration and I am currently attending an online MBA program. I currently work as an admissions advisor at a private college so I have experience mentoring and advising students.
