My comments on tutoring Political Science : Certified to teach

I have worked for the past 13 years in accounting and management positions. I started in the Master of Education in the Teaching Arts at Mississippi College this past January and recieved by Class A Teacher's License in June of this year. I am certified to teach grades 4-8 in all four of the major subjects: math, science, social studies and language. I am also certified to teach grades 7-12 in the social studies area: US History, government, geography, and world history. I am also highly qualified to teach accounting and business because of the number of accounting and business classes that I have taken.

I realize that, in order for a student to want to learn, the subject must be presented to them in an interesting way. I know I have the ability to make the subject relative to the child in a way that is both easy-to-understand, yet effective. I am extremely patient, enthuastic, and truly love the subject of English. The idea of helping a child who struggles with English or just doesn't like it in general appeals to me greatly. I honestly believe that every single child has the capability to learn and excel in any subject, when given the right guidance and tools.
I earned both my Bachelor's of Arts in English and my Master's of Science in Public Relations from the University of Southern Mississippi. My teaching style is to merge technology, current events, and thought provoking question into one. I related the given subject to the student as best as I can. This makes the subject personal and it makes the information easy to retain.

Given the awesome responsibility of teaching Sunday School at my church, I believe wholeheartedly that providing understanding and setting the right examples is paramount to success for our children.
