A Little Bit About Me...

Since my graduation from Southeaster Oklahoma State University I substituted on all grade levels from pre-k to 12th grade for 2 years. I long-term substituted first grade from January to May of 2008 and 5th grade from April to May of 2007. I also taught 5th grade Science for the school year of 2008-2009. Substituting has enabled me to see the different learning styles and behaviors of many different types of children. I use this knowledge whenever stepping into unfamiliar classes and use it to my advantage.
I believe all children have their own pace and develop their own learning styles in which they are able to comprehend the knowledge that is being taught to them. A Little Bit About Me...

Experience consist of 5 years as a Para Educator. I have been teaching high school level subjects to young adults with many different levels of mental and physical disabilities. I am also state certified for the position and have been certified in CPR and First Aid. During these five years I have tutored students in mathematics, science, English, arts, history and various life skills.
I enjoy working with children and being able to help them grow into well rounded adults. I am very patient and understanding. Teaching has been something I have done a great deal of my life no matter what path I was on. When I was in nursing school, patient teaching was a strong point of mine. I love children.
