Been in the teacher preparation program at Nevada State College for about 3 years now, started off in Step-Up program my Junior year of high school, have done some field observation at many schools, and have had to deal with one on one tutoring during the time I was there along with many fellow class mates. In my classes at NSC we have different preparation classes that are preparing us for tasks such as tutoring and handling difficult tasks such as helping students that aren't of the English language to learn in their own way the different techniques that we use.
I am more of the Cooperative learning teaching kind of instructor, I rather have students work together to get something right, rather then them do it alone, it's either paired up work or in groups or working with me.

As an English teacher, I have had the opportunities to work with many different ages and levels of students. From foreign kindergarten students through degree seeking college students and varying levels in between, I have learned many different skills to help me approach each learner with the tools that make learning easy and enjoyable. I have professional experience teaching Kindergarten, first grade, sixth grade language arts, and freshmen level college English. A Little Bit About Me...

Throughout my career as a student, I have always prided myself on the ability to help others learn. When I was a high school student, I was the one other students would come to with questions, and I always gave an answer with confidence. Then I got to college and began to study Biology. I was so amazed at the broad spectrum of the sciences, that I decided to add a Chemistry component to my college degree. Through Chemistry I could better understand Biology. Then I realized that the whole time, I was increasing my ability to teach and learn, so I added an Education component to my college degree, and that has brought me to the point I am at now.
