I love teaching kids. All kids can are different in the way they learn. you need to be able to recognize those kids who are auditory learners, and hands on learners and be able to make a good balance of both so both kids may benefit. I like to set goals for each tutor session weather it be something like learning the alphabet or knowing you first ten multiplication facts. You then need to set one long term goal for that child to reach. this way each day they feel as if they have succeeded and learned something. I love kids - they are often sweet, funny, easily impressed and are a great audience. I received my BS in Electrical Engineering in December. I was one of two who graduated under the Honor's Program and maintained a 3.72 GPA. I've been tutoring math ever since my second semester in college and even while I was in high school. I've taken Calculus 3, differential equations, linear algebra, and discrete mathematics and received an A in each of them. I have a great deal of experience along with a sound background in mathematics. When it comes to math, there is always more than one way to attack the problem at hand and each method appeals to different students.
