A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style with students of all ages is to facilitate their learning as opposed to simply feeding them what I feel is the best response. Students learning is maximized when they can take ownership of and pride in their work. I am very patient. Recognizing that all students learn differently, I seek to ascertain their learning styles and then adjust my tutoring style to that learning style.
I taught and tutored ESL two years before entering law school. I hae taught college classes as an adjunct and later FT professor at Penn College for 25 years. I currently serve as Career Outreach Coordinator for HACC-Lebanon Campus. I have tutored many students, particularly in areas such as writing essays. I also served as a reader for the SAT Writing section, so I am familiar with what they are seeking. I am very proficient in grammar and structure.

While a student at Luzerne County Community College, I was recommended to be a tutor by mathematics professor David Wasilewski. I tutored college students primarily in the fundamentals of algebra and English composition. In 2005, I was awarded the Student Support Service Award for tutoring. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from King's College and went on to earn a Juris Doctor.
