As an MBA graduate with a concentration in Finance, I have had much experience with Finance and Accounting courses. I am used to working in teams and have a talent for simplifying complex information in order to help others. I have tutored a friend in undergraduate accounting and with my help he received an A in the class. I consider myself an expert in MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; all of which I believe will be essential in completing a degree in finance or accounting. I have worked with children since I was 13. I have worked in settings where I was a daycare worker, a nanny, and a substitute teacher. I believe that every child has thier own unique way of learning even though there may be a mainstream way of teaching. I like to see where a child is and then go from there to see what would be the best way to help them learn new things.
As a UCF graduate and even prior to that I have always helped in the area of homework and study. I have earned a bachelor degree in Psychology and I have started a second bachelor's degree in Forensics. In 2009 I graduated with a BS in Statistics from Virginia Tech. I also received a minor in Business. Before recently moving to Charlotte, NC I worked as a contracted consultant for a company called Mountaineer Capital LLP in Charleston, WV. I feel this experience along with extensive knowledge of math and sciences makes me capable of teaching others.
I believe that my teaching style is very hands on and easy to follow. I have the ability of simplifying statistical and mathematical procedures into easier, more understandable terms. I am very patient and this allows me to better adapt to a child's specific learning needs and education level. My best teachers were the one's that made me feel comfortable asking questions and admitting when I do not fully understand a concept.
