I have 31 + yrs of teaching experience, retired in 2015. I taught 3rd grade, and 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade math. I am presently tutoring math at NCMC in Trenton, MO in Intermediate Algebra and College Algebra. I also have done some HISET teaching and Upward Bound. My current maximum hrs of 550 hrs of teaching from the Retirement System keeps me from doing the latter two because I am mostly focusing on NCMC tutoring. I am clearly interested in doing some private math tutoring. Having taught in the elementary and clear up through 8th grade, I am aware of different learning styles and attempt to do what I can to use a variety of teaching strategies. I feel I can attempt to find the math learning gaps with a student and go forward with them enhancing their math skills.

Experience in industrial injuries, taught back safety courses, performed Functional Capacity Evaluation, Job Risk Analysis, and Job Placement Testing. Was selected as Physical Therapy Department in the U.S. Navy from 2002 - 2006 were I supervised the treatment and testing of military personnel, and taught back safety/rehab classes and post-surgical class for rehabilitation of the knee. Have substitute taught from 2009 - present for local high school. My teaching style is very interactive with the student. The student is provided with the skill and information on the subject and then they explain their knowledge and understanding of that subject. This is either done to fellow classmates in a "student teacher" role or to me.
