I am a student at Auburn University studying English Education. I am a rising senior and have over 3 years of education courses under my belt. I have a 4.0 grade point average, and studied for one semester at Oxford University in England. I love English, writing, and teaching, and I love helping students understand my favorite subjects!
My teaching style is very hands-on. I want my students to remember what they're learning because it is interesting, not just toss information out by rote. I think that it's very important to have fun while learning, so I try to make my tutoring sessions fun and engaging.

I start by asking the students to tell me exactly what is it that they not understand and start from there. I then like to work backwards from that point to find where they got lost. I also use everyday concepts to give similiar scenarios to get them on the right track. I find pleasure in seeing their faces light up once they come to understand the subject matter.
I enjoy teaching and working in the clinical practice performing laboratory tests and analyzing the results. I am enthralled with structures and functions of organisms and continuously intrigued with revelations of newly discovered mechanisms. Within the Bedside Buddies Program, I was able to spend over 200 hours working with physically and mentally challenged children to maintain their grades when they were experiencing long staying in the hospital. With this experience under my belt, I pursued my degree in psychology, achieving a BS rather than a BA to exhibit my proficiency for the mathematics and sciences.
