A Little Bit About Me...

I attained my first degree in Supply Chain Management from Syracuse University in 2003. After working in that field for a few years, however, I chose to change my career path. I then went back to school at the City College of New York to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. I am happy to say that I am graduating this month (December 2010), and have not regretted pursuing this second degree at all. Through my college experiences I have completed over 220 credits in many subjects, with my strongest in the math, sciences and engineering.
Attaining two degrees has opened my eyes to many different teaching styles and ways of learning. I believe that the most effective way to learn and teach is to explain concepts and theories thoroughly before any application of these concepts. In addition to 3 years of experience working in a pre-school, I also have tutoring experience with people of all ages in various subjects. In 2003, I earned Bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Psychology. In 2006, I earned my Master's degree in Business Administration. I wrote and defended a 50+ page thesis to complete this program. Currently, I am pursuing my Master's degree in Psychology. I have excellent writing, grammar, spelling and proofreading skills.
I have worked with many different types of children and adults. I've found that each person responds differently to different styles of teaching and I am able to adapt to each individual's needs.
