My comments on tutoring Language Arts : Vocabulary, comprehension and syntax are important ingredients to any language arts class. Personal tutoring allows me to focus on your specific needs.

I believe in assessments to determine a childs strengths and weaknesses. I would want to have previous class work and homework assignments and determine deficiencies in a given area. I want to understand what the teacher is doing from this work. It is helpful to understand why you or your child is not being as successful as possible. Often your child's teacher is trying different strategies with computers or in class tutoring. I will improve this approach with one to one teaching in my office or in a library setting.
