I think it takes a lot for one teacher to reach all of types of students who are all at different levels of interest in the subject being taught as well as at different levels of understanding. However, I feel it is the teacher's responsibility to give them all equal opportunity to learn. It is not just about grades and assignments, that is just the means to an end, but it is about learning. One of the most important parts of my teaching philosophy in tutoring is to adapt to each student’s learning style. As a graduate of Texas Southern University, where excellence is our motto, I was driven to acheive excellence in biology. I earned my BS in Biology in December of 2009, which has enabled me to gain understanding in science and math. I have also learned during my time at TSU to write and gain skills in writing due to writing lab reports and many essays along the way.
