Being a teacher and teacher’s assistant, I have attended many trainings and seminars. Through my experience, I have knowledge of consulting and analyzing to tutoring services . At present I am also working as a teacher’s assistant. My duties at present are preparing educational materials , assisting in assignments ,testing and record keeping . I can plan, implement for others and developing values, I can help them in these areas. My affiliation with many non-profit organizations, brought me to this skills of working with at risk and high risk students. I have worked with kids for nearly 10 years as an instructional soccer coach. I have also worked as a substitute teacher for the past three years at the K-12 level. Currently, I am enrolled in the Teachers' Credentialing Program at CSUS and taught 8th-grade Science last semester at Sylvan Middle School in Citrus Heights. I will be teaching freshman Science next semester at Casa Roble Fundamental High School in Orangevale. I am scheduled to complete the credentialing program in December of 2011, at which time I intend to teach full-time. In a classroom setting, I adapt my teaching style so that all students can learn. I get to know my students well so that I will be able to recognize when they may be experiencing personal issues that might affect their learning. As a college graduate, I was extremely driven to achieve a high level of academic excellence. I earned my bachelors degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Philosophy. These have enabled me to have an understanding of many areas of Language Arts, History, and English. As a Comm Studies major I was held to a high standard of technical writing with essay and would always use credible sources for my research. I love to teach, there is nothing more self rewarding then helping a person who is struggling to achieve something and helping them with their goals. I believe all students can find academic success somewhere if given the correct opportunities and surroundings. I firmly believe that I have been educated by some of the best and these educators have made a world of difference in my life and expectations.
