Special Educator with many hats and minds to utilize.

I believe that we all learn better one way versus another but it does not negate the many ways of learning as well. As a teacher I believe that everyone wants to learn but many are unable or have not been able to see the connections it has on our lives and that we all have talents and skills that needs support, encouragement or attention. Exploring, memorization, practice, demonstrate in as many ways are all but a few ways to instruct, guide and facilitate.

I graduated in 2008 and i have been tutoring for many years. I got my masters degree in tutoring in 2010 and have helped people who have a disability and they ended up getting 3 degrees. I have been to night school and Saturday school to teach me these things. I get personal lessons from a family member that has done way to many classes to learn this stuff.
I ask the kid many questions about what they are learning and I give them advice on how to get better at it. I tell them to go over there notes every night.

Individualized learning/teaching for optimal comprehension

I started tutoring in my teens helping young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders develop English and Math skills as well as speech therapy and public speaking. I tutored my fellow students while attending Carroll Community College in English 101 and 102 as well as Creative Writing. I then moved on to being a one on one with high school students with special needs in the Baltimore area.
I take a hands on material approach to learning/teaching. I graduated from high school as number eleven in rank out of 248. I often assisted other students in both high school and college. Later, as a homeschooling mother of four, I taught all of my children all subjects through the eighth grade level. I just returned from the island of Saipan, where I taught high school English in a private school, and seventh grade English in a public school.
