A Little Bit About Me...

I just graduated with a BA in Psychology and are two courses short of a minor in Spanish and Sociology. I've always been very strong in the English/Language Arts/Writing areas as well. I am currently a certified substitute teacher and also already do some elementary tutoring. Some of my previous tutoring experience include writing, some psychological statistics and some basic math/language skills.
I love to teach and help others in general. I always had difficulty when I was younger finding a tutor or some help in my studies that I could understand easily. I am a very patient and have a great sense of humor that come in handy during subjects of frustration. Every few months I conducted "lunch and learns" for programmers and analysts. During these sessions I would describe what code was doing in a particular module. This would help them with their implementations.
I like to first show a basic example of the problem, then show how the problem can be solved. I will then show another example that is a little more involved. After this, I let the person being mentored try solving a similar problem.
