I am a former teacher of English, acting, SAT Prep, and Public Speaking. All this experience gives me unique perspective. I am adventurous and like to help students enjoy learning. I have taught 7th grade - adults in subjects ranging from acting, English/language arts, and Japanese adults how to speak and write better English.
My teaching style is hands-on. Students learn best by doing, so after a mini-lesson, I encourage them to try it out for themselves.

I have been teaching children since 1990, when I worked as a Naturalist for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. I did this kind of education for 3 years. I enjoy watching children learn and grow. I believe there are different teaching techniques for each individual student. I have come to learn this because of my younger sibling who didn't fit into the mold of a typical public school student. I am a firm believer in trying new things and new approaches.
As a Bowling Green State University student who has studied Communication Disorders I have come across many experiences with children.
