I help my students to ask questions about why something is this way or that way. It is not as simple as just memorizing subject matter in order to regurgitate it for the upcoming test. The purpose of teaching is to help others understand something that is known as true.
I was on honor roll in high school on a consistent basis. My best subjects were English and Writing. I attended Pennsylvania State University for Communications with a focus on English Writing and the study of Film and Media Arts. Individualized learning/teaching for optimal comprehension

I take a hands on material approach to learning/teaching. I feel that young students learn best when they can physically learn, such as through blocks/puzzles/interactive learning devices and other similar approaches. I try to let the student use their hands as much as I can to aid in their learning process. For older students such as my high school students or their college counterparts I use more direct audial teaching and visual teaching styles.
