I was Director of the Paralegal Studies Program at Stautzenberger College (Cleveland) which educates students for postitions in the legal field and court reporting. I developed the courses and conducted seminars on federal funding, grants and contracts.
Totally student-centered. I encourage rather than demand. I believe that it is my responsibility to find the teaching method which is most effective for a student to learn. Some learn by doing, some by reading, some by a creative process. The goal is to allow the student to understand and retain the material for his or her later practical application.

I thoroughly love teaching as I come from a line of teachers myself. I have demonstrated that learning happens on multiple levels depending on what level one is working on. In my experience, I have learned that understanding is a process which involves listening, question and answer, humility, multiple approaches (including mixed media, visual and audio stimulus, humor, etc.), and a general openness to learn. Patience is key, and to learn is not just to memorize--it is to understand. I worked a full-time job while also attending school full-time while earning my Degree. I am a person who values the benefits of an educaiton very much. Through my education ,business, and life experiences, I have a lot of valuable things to offer the children you work with. I feel that math is my strongest subject; but I truly believe I can teach any subject to any child up to the 9th grade level.
I am a very easy-going funloving person. But I also expect the same respect from children and their parents as they expect from me. I try to find out what things childen are interested in, then I try to adopt the subject material and my style to use that to help them to learn. Learning should be fun, not a chore.
