I am a young teacher, but passionate about the subjects I teach to my students. I am still developing my own style, but I do have certain areas where I am already confident in the effectiveness of my teaching methods. When I was teaching biology, a class would generally start with a warm-up to review the previous day’s material and then progress to the presentation of new topics through lecture and note taking. I used various activities and labs for reviewing and reinforcing what was learned. Class ended with a few minutes of review for closure. Coming from the influence of a family of educators, I realized early on my affinity towards teaching. In addition to my college degrees, I have been very involved in the 'summer camp' experience.
